Cardiovascular Translational Research & Innovation
Cardiovascular Translational Research and Innovation (CVRI) at Lambe Institute NUI Galway has active fundamental and clinical research programs in cardiovascular medicine however, the primary focus is on translational research, innovation and education. CVRI has a strong collaboration with the medical device industry. Multiple research teams are working in collaboration with other colleagues across a range of disciplines and colleges within NUI Galway and Medtech industry to develop novel technologies.

At the moment, we are involved in multiple research projects, funded by prestigious organizations. Some of our major projects are focused on Digital Heart Health, Telehealth for Heart Failure patients, Patient Empowerment, Central Venous Pressure Sensor, Smart Renal Denervation, Ultrasound and Optical Imaging techniques etc.
